Introducing the Catch 22 Ospreys!

2023-September As the 2023 season progressed, Catch 22 saw a rise in Breast Cancer Survivor (BCS) paddlers—enough to inspire the creation of a distinct team name under the US Dragonboat Federation. While staying proudly rooted in our supportive home team, we chose a name that reflects both our spirit and our environment: Catch 22 Ospreys.

Inspired by the resilient birds that return each spring to nest near our dock, the name honors their strength, determination, and grace—traits we see in ourselves and each other. Ospreys thrive despite constant challenges from bald eagles, reminding us to keep fighting and fishing for our best selves.

We’re proud to paddle as Catch 22 Ospreys: strong, united, and always rising to the challenge.
