Life on the Water - Throwback 2019

2019-October Coach Laura recently shared a link to a video created by Clark County Today. All of the featured paddlers are still involved in dragon boating today in 2025!

In the article, Coach Laura said, “We’re trying to provide an avenue for them to come out, get exercise, have a community of other survivors around them, that they can use for support. We’re not going to be a pink team, but we’re going to be a team that is here for you if you need us.”

The coach's words were either prophetic or influential in shaping the 2023 vote, when we rejected team names that included the word 'pink' (like Pink Ospreys). We might wear pink or sport the pink cancer ribbon, but above all else we are complete individuals, honored by the privilege to compete.
